The UCDC Prep series is offered to prepare incoming UC students participating in the UCDC program with the knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to successfully begin the program.

UCDC Prep includes live virtual sessions with UCDC staff and weekly emails with important updates, reminders, and internship opportunities -- all of which are meant to help students stay on track for their arrival in Washington, D.C.UCDC Prep is offered to accepted students during the term prior to their participation in the UCDC program.

UCDC Prep Objectives

This series is designed to guide students through all the essential steps to ensure a successful and well-prepared UCDC experience. By the end of the series, students will be able to:

1. Understand the UCDC Timeline.

2. Navigate the Internship Search and Application Process.

3. Strengthen Application Materials.

4. Enhance Interview Skills.

5. Prepare for Academic Enrollment.

6. Learn About UCDC Resources and Support Services.

7. Plan for Living in Washington, D.C.

UCDC Prep sessions typically occur on  Wednesdays, 11am – 12pm Pacific Time, the term prior to UCDC enrollment.
